Favorite Quotes 2015

by Andrea Renee Cox

Hard to believe it’s been a year since my last “favorite quotes” article, but the Christmas season is now upon us. As we all prepare for the holidays, let me share with you a few of my favorite book quotes from novels I read during 2015.

“But a life like Susan’s, working side by side with the one you loved… Yes, that seemed ideal.” The Secret of Pembrooke Park by Julie Klassen

“The trouble with drowning in the mess of your own life is that you’re not in any shape to save anyone else.” The Prayer Box by Lisa Wingate

“Trust and faith were easy words until the pressure came; living them was hard.” Danger in the Shadows by Dee Henderson

“You are important to God, and that makes you important.” Teen Mom: You’re Stronger Than You Think by Tricia Goyer

“Faith is not just something you have. It’s something you do.” Believing God by Beth Moore

“God understands our fears and concerns. And when we bring those to Him in prayer, He exchanges them for His peace, even in the most difficult and trying times.” A Refuge at Highland Hall by Carrie Turansky

“I’d rather not have a dream at all than be too scared to pursue the one I’ve got.” From the Start by Melissa Tagg

“Mellie had failed to make a friend in twenty-three years of life, and now she had one week. Impossible.” With Every Letter by Sarah Sundin

“[Sera] may have first learned of the painting as a girl, but her real dedication to unraveling its mystery hadn’t come until she had nothing left.” The Butterfly and the Violin by Kristy Cambron

“… a family is where we learn to love and forgive one another.” Can’t Buy Me Love by Beth K. Vogt

“The day the Italians found the Caps Lock… well, I don’t know, but I feel it was significant.” Reservations for Two by Hillary Manton Lodge

“You’re stronger than you think. You always have been.” No Place to Hide by Lynette Eason

“You need the strength of Jesus in you, the power of His Spirit, to be the man you want to be, the man your family needs you to be.” The Wood’s Edge by Lori Benton

“The good stuff in life waits on the other side of fear.” Guiding Star by Katie Ganshert (a novella in the Amish Christmas at North Star collection)

“But the reality is that a man may be forgiven, but a legend is never forgotten.” The Memoir of Johnny Devine by Camille Eide

*All of these titles are available at your favorite online bookstore. And they make great gifts. If you order soon, they might even be in before Christmas!

One of my favorite quotes from A Cup of Dust by Susie Finkbeiner..."Life has a way of taking what we know and tangling it all in knots. It ain't gonna be easy on you to know. The truth never is. But you're a brave girl. And strong in the Lord. Every storm has a beginning and every storm's got an end. They never last forever," she whispered. "God is the one who saves. Don't forget it."
