As a copyeditor, Andrea Renee Cox checks manuscripts for typos, grammatical errors, inconsistencies, echoed words or phrases (including "pet words"), and formatting variances. She also double-checks facts along the way, making sure truth meets fiction in a seamless way. Many of the books she’s copyedited have become finalists and award winners.
On the writing side of things, Andrea hopes to inspire others with her heartfelt yet challenging stories. From the conception of a story idea to the research, writing, and revising of those novels, she approaches each project with prayer and excitement. Every book presents its difficulties and roadblocks, but to Andrea, those are simply opportunities to apply the knowledge she's already gained and to add something new to her memory bank. Oftentimes she learns life lessons right along with the characters she's writing about. She looks forward to the day she will sign her first publishing contract.
Outside of writing, her passions encompass God, family, reading, and watching the professional Dallas basketball and hockey teams. Her favorite books fit into one of three categories: contemporary, historical, and suspense. Andrea lives in north Texas and tutors middle school students in math, English, and writing. She earned two career diplomas from Penn Foster.
