About

Born and raised in north Texas, Andrea Renee Cox has loved story since as far back as she can remember and credits God with giving her the gift of storytelling. Her love of reading inspired a career of two varieties: writing and editing. Her blog, Writing to Inspire, is in its eleventh year, and some of her articles were also published on My Book Therapy’s Weekly Spark. She’s copyedited and proofread for many independently published authors (including Cara Putman, Carrie Turansky, Kellyn Roth, and Erika Mathews) as well as several publishing companies (including Ashberry Lane, WhiteFire, and WaterBrook Multnomah). Many of the books she's edited have become finalists and winners of prestigious awards.

In her writing, Andrea hopes to inspire others with her heartfelt yet challenging stories. From the conception of a story idea to the research, writing, and revising of her books and short stories, she approaches each project with prayer and excitement. Every book presents its difficulties and roadblocks, but to Andrea, those are simply opportunities to apply the knowledge she's already gained and to add something new to her memory bank. Oftentimes she learns life lessons right along with the characters she's writing about.

Outside of editing and writing, her passions encompass God, family, reading, and watching the professional Dallas Stars hockey club. Her favorite books fit into one of four categories: contemporary, historical, suspense, and Gothic. Andrea lives in north Texas and tutors middle school students in math, English, and writing. She earned two career diplomas from Penn Foster.
