Is it difficult to follow a great novel with an even better sequel?
Yes.
Did Lynette Eason accomplish this with her latest book?
Yes!
Without Warning carried the author's unique style and plenty of entertainment. I liked that even when I figured out some things before they were revealed, Lynette shocked me several times with twists I never saw coming. Funny though, once I thought about them, I realized the foreshadowing and red herrings and other writing tactics every author employs were right in place. I guess it's kind of like a magic show: the closer you look, the less you actually see. In other words, Lynette Eason is still brilliant in the genre of suspense.
The Women of Justice series may still be my favorite Eason series, but the Elite Guardians are a close second! I highly recommend this book and series for anyone who loves suspense.
